Local Children Visit Their New Community Centre
In 2018, P.A. Finlay & Company began work on Loughborough Children’s Centre in Brixton. This has proved to be a great project and the end result will be a fantastic new community space for Brixton.
The work has consisted of a new outdoor play space, buggy store, a new entrance and general improvement of the inside space. The centre is used for health services and playgroups along with other services for the local community.
The project is part of Lambeth Early Action Partnership’s (LEAP) ongoing project in London which involves the redevelopment of different early years spaces inside Lambeth.
Children who will be using the centre took part in a site visit and were accompanied by Vilius Velicka, Site Manager at P.A. Finlay & Co and Armands Lescinskis, Contracts Manager at P.A. Finlay & Co.
Also visiting was LEAP Director Laura McFarlane who was enthusiastic about the visit and excited to see the progress, she said “these improvements are going to make a huge difference in terms of the activities Loughborough Children’s Centre can put on and to the long-term development of children”.
The visit involved a tour of the new facilities, with all children provided with their own PPE for the visit.

PA Finlay & Co Ltd have achieved certification to the latest ISO Standards!
The team at PA Finlay & Co Ltd are delighted to announce that they have recently achieved ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification to the very latest (2015) standards. Whilst we have held ISO14001 certification for environmental management since 1998, we took the opportunity of the introduction of the new standards, to upgrade our system to a UKAS-accredited one with BMTRADA and we also incorporated ISO9001 for quality management at the same time. The benefit of a UKAS accredited system is the independent oversight that is afforded by BMTRADA.
The new systems have already helped us to improve our waste management, contract and site management processes and since we are committed to continual improvement, we will always be looking to ‘snag’ our next process so that we can continue to improve our internal processes, our environmental performance and our customer experience.
PA Finlay & Co Ltd have always focused on our customers and we hope that our new, sharper tools will help us to do this even better in the future.

The office has been used as a location previously, most recently in BBC’s “New Blood”.
Our office and yard was able to accommodate more than 30 people from the production teams!
