Local Children Visit Their New Community Centre
In 2018, P.A. Finlay & Company began work on Loughborough Children’s Centre in Brixton. This has proved to be a great project and the end result will be a fantastic new community space for Brixton.
The work has consisted of a new outdoor play space, buggy store, a new entrance and general improvement of the inside space. The centre is used for health services and playgroups along with other services for the local community.
The project is part of Lambeth Early Action Partnership’s (LEAP) ongoing project in London which involves the redevelopment of different early years spaces inside Lambeth.
Children who will be using the centre took part in a site visit and were accompanied by Vilius Velicka, Site Manager at P.A. Finlay & Co and Armands Lescinskis, Contracts Manager at P.A. Finlay & Co.
Also visiting was LEAP Director Laura McFarlane who was enthusiastic about the visit and excited to see the progress, she said “these improvements are going to make a huge difference in terms of the activities Loughborough Children’s Centre can put on and to the long-term development of children”.
The visit involved a tour of the new facilities, with all children provided with their own PPE for the visit.

The P.A. Finlay & Co head office based in Stratford, East London was used this week as a filming location for a gritty Netflix drama series. Scenes are due to air in 2019 and we can’t wait to spot the office on film.
The office has been used as a location previously, most recently in BBC’s “New Blood”.
Our office and yard was able to accommodate more than 30 people from the production teams!
The P.A. Finlay office is available as a filming location, please contact location@pafinlay.com for more information.
